Dealing with stress & fear…

Dear Dr. Alman and TruSage,

I’m dealing with stress and fear everyday!  I’m in

a crisis!  I’m about to lose my job but who isn’t?

I’m about to lose my house, like half the people

where I live.  My body is a mess.  I go to the MD

and I hear the same thing; IT’S STRESS!  I take

medications which I don’t like — to help me sleep,

anti-depressants, anti-anxiety and for high blood

pressure.  My blood pressure goes up and down

depending on my stress.  I’ve always been

anxious.  It’s just worse now than ever before.

Please help me in dealing with stress and fear…

Dear Judge Judy,

Thank you for reaching out so that I can show

you how to reach in!  You are closer than you

think to feeling a lot better.  It is intelligent to

be receiving the best medical care you can get

and I want to encourage you to continue following

your doctor’s prescriptions and to add-in your

own advice.  Everyone has an inner doctor that

we call our intution or center or spirituality or

inner wisdom.  It’s never either-or; when it comes

to doctors.  It’s always both!  75% of people in

the U.S. seek out Complementary Medicine.

We all need to utilize all of our resources to heal

and continue to get healthier everyday. 

You are about to open yourself up to a whole

new area of healing, health and happiness!

Stop right now, everything you are doing, and

focus on WHAT’S RIGHT ABOUT YOUR LIFE?

Write your answers down on a piece of paper

and/or focus 100% on WHAT’S RIGHT ABOUT

YOUR LIFE! 

You have 3 unique and valuable perspectives

of your life, stress, your body, health, the

economy and life!

#1  What’s right about how you FEEL about your

situation?  Go ahead and focus on how you FEEL

about everything that you wrote to me.  Write

it all done, talk out loud and most importantly,

ACCEPT & EXPRESS all of your FEELINGS. 

Believe it or not, this will move you towards

focusing on what’s right about how you FEEL.

Simply, accepting and expressing is a way to

FREE yourself, FREE your feelings and at the

same time it stops you from trying to control,

fix, solve or change your feelings.  This alone

is a big step in the right direction!  Watch what

happens.  This will only take minutes, instead

of decades of trying to not feel what you feel or

trying to control what you feel or ignoring, 

denying or hating what you feel.  ACCEPT &

EXPRESS will move you forward to being able

to focus on what’s right about your feelings.

HINT: They are real!  You have a right to feel

what you feel.

2nd HINT: Trying to control your feelings or

repressing your feelings is what causes stress!!!

Your body is the recptacle for your repressed

feelings.  Your body then signals you that you 

are stressed.  It’s simpler to become AWARE

(which you already are) and then add ACCEPT

& EXPRES your feelings than it is to repress,

control and stuff the stress into your body.

#2 JUDGE your self, your situation, your

stress and everything that is wrong in your life.

This may be very easy for you since you are a

judge!  Everyone gets stuck here!  Judging

and criticizing yourself, your feelings, your

stress, the economy, being afraid of being afraid

and feeling bad….these should be easy to judge.

Again, write down everything and talk out loud,

if you can.  Most importantly, ACCEPT & EXPRESS

your judgments, criticisms, thoughts of never

being satisfied, thoughts that it’s never enough,

over-thinking, over-analyzing…and focus on

what’s right about focusing on what’s wrong with

you, your life and the world. 

Of course, this is counter-intuitive!  Yes, this is

not rational but we all  have decades of trying

everything that is rational and we all know what

we “should do” but still we can’t make ourselves

do it.  It’s not a matter of brains or intelligence.

We get stuck emotionally!  We hold our feelings

in.  We stuff and repress our feelings and this is

what becomes our stress.  When you ACCEPT

& EXPRESS your judgments, you are FREEING

yourself (inside and out) to utilize your energy

to be creative instead of just coping or surviving.

#3  Now, really focus on WHAT’S RIGHT ABOUT

YOUR LIFE!  This will flow now….because you

have been real about what you think, feel and

you’ve been expressing yourself as well as

accepting yourself.  You can now connect with

your center, inner wisdom, intuition, spirituality,

health and happiness. 

All day long, keep asking yourself, “What’s right

about my life?”  Listen to your answers.  You will

love what appears, bubbles up and happens

spontaneously.  You are learning HOW TO get

out of your own way.

stress and fear?  EVERYTHING!  You are learning

HOW TO deal with stress and fear by facing them,

accepting, expressing, freeing, and evolving.
