Freedom of Choice…
Dr. Brian,
I heard you say on one of your phone recordings that the ultimate power is the power of choice.
I remind myself of that all the time.
Thanks for showing me how-to figure out how-to do that!
I thought I had freedom of choice…
Then, I woke-up!
I realized when going through your 21 Days At The Beach DVD’s that I was totally dis-connected from making my own choices.
I had always done what I thought other people wanted me to do or in total rebellion of that. In other words, I had always reacted and usually over-reacted.
I was my mother and father with a little bit of myself mixed in.
You mentioned some people never “get it” or “get themselves.”
I just wonder why it had to take me so many decades.
They should teach your skills in school – the younger, the better.
It would have helped me manage the inner debate between my “perfectionist” committee member and my “rebellious” committee – as members – as you defined them in the Beach Sessions.
I’m afraid I would have been stuck forever.
Now, I’m free. I really do have freedom of choice…
My life has never been better!
My relationships, as you said on the DVD, mirror my relationship with myself.
I kinda always knew that but I had never learned how-to move forward and inward at the same time. TruSage is in my life now and I’m signing up for the 16 weeks of weight loss, keep it off for life phone calls. I did the 90 day emails for motivation and that was another turning point for me.
I wrote this on Memorial Day because I feel like this is the freedom that I need to keep living for and I realize none of this would be possible without the brave men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
Thank you,
T.H.
